30-Day Doctor Who (New Series) Challenge
Day 5 - Favorite Guest Star.
James Corden (Craig Owens). I’m usually not a fan of the “funny” episodes of Doctor Who, but I really liked Closing Time. It was a nice companion to Night Terrors, which also dealt with the theme of fatherhood. I liked that the Doctor thought well enough of Craig to visit him on his “farewell tour.” It was hilarious when the Doctor...

I don't know why I think this is funny, but I do.
Both of these photos are cast shots from Doctor Who Big Finish Productions audios (Top: Colditz, Bottom: False Gods). This was before Tennant was cast as the Doctor and before Cumberbatch became Sherlock Holmes. Maybe Big Finish is the British equivalent of the All New Mickey Mouse club.

30-Day Doctor Who (New Series) Challenge
Day 4 - Favorite Character.
River Song (Alex Kingston). This one seems pretty obvious. River Song is awesome. I remember when she was first introduced. I spent an hour trying to work out her identity by taking the letters in her name and rearranging them in the hopes that it was an anagram for something (I had just learned TORCHWOOD was an anagram of DOCTOR WHO, so it’s not that crazy)....

Day 3 - Favorite Villain/Monster/Alien/Baddie of the Week.
Rassilon (Timothy Dalton). Not sure if he was meant to be the original Rassilon, the cosmic engineer who gave the Time Lords time travel, but it doesn’t really matter. I loved when he first appeared at the end of The End of Time, Part 1. I could practically feel the spittle from Dalton’s scene chewing.
I loved the twist...

Day 2 - Favorite Companion.
Donna Noble. I liked that she was his mate. After two companions who were in love with him, it was refreshing to have a character who just loved him. They were great friends and that was enough. She was also the companion who had the most growth as a character. I really hated her when she was first introduced in The Runaway Bride and cringed when I learned she was...

30-Day Doctor Who (New Series) Challenge
Day 1 - Favorite Incarnation of the Doctor.
10th Doctor - David Tennant.
I love all three from the new series, but to be fair I would have to pick him. Eccleston only did it for a year and Smith is still doing it. Matt Smith is brilliant as the Doctor (and I prefer Moffat over Davies as writer/producer), but he could still screw it up. I don’t think he will, but he could. Tennant got to...
